This form is used to report or initiate referral related to sexual misconduct, discrimination, or bias impacting or involving UMBC students, employees, faculty, staff, interns, affiliates, contractors, volunteers and visitors including:
• Sexual and Gender Based Harassment, Sexual Assault, Sexual Coercion, Sexual Exploitation, Sexual Intimidation, Interpersonal Violence, Relationship Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, Cyber Harassment or Cyber Stalking.
• Discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, sex, gender, pregnancy, ancestry, age, gender identity or expression, national origin, veterans status, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or genetic information.
• Hate/ Bias incident.
• Retaliation for reporting or participating in the resolution of any of the issues above.
Please note:
• Filling out this form does not file a criminal complaint with the police.
• For an immediate threat or to file a police report call UMBC Police at
410-455-5555 or call 911. If you do not wish to seek the support of law enforcement, you may consider Maryland 211 as an alternate initial resource.
• Unless there is an escalated concern for safety, information provided through this form will be directed to ECR staff only and will result in initial outreach to the reporter or any impacted party as appropriate and necessary.
• The University’s ability to respond may be limited when reports are submitted anonymously.
